Chapel Saint Sauveur

Historic site and monument, Historic patrimony, Religious heritage, Town / Village, Church, Most beautiful villages in France, Modern, 17th C, 20th C in Vénosc

  • this chapel was founded in 1686 by Mr Jacques Rochette.

  • Founded in 1686, the chapel retains its original architecture despite a restoration of the walls (elevation) of the sacristy (addition) and a displacement of the steeples.
The entrance is made of tuff and has a casing made of molded entablature and a spoiler inspired by classical architecture.
Floor and walls are whitewashed. The nave is a vaulted ceiling and paneled and opens onto a deep vaulted choir lit by a window in the south.
