    For its 33nd edition, the Hay Festival invites you to step back in time for a weekend: period costumes, crafts from yesteryear, demonstrations of the skills of yesteryear...
    All in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

  • A weekend-long return to our roots, in the purest of traditions.

    A programme steeped in the atmosphere of days gone by: an open-air mass, a parade in period costume, a country-style aperitif, presentations and demonstrations of traditional crafts, folk groups, horse-drawn carriage rides, a market selling regional produce, and on-site food and drink stalls.

    Full programme:

    Saturday 1 August
    12 noon to 7 pm: Hay Festival Village with workshops, demonstrations, refreshments and food
    6.00 pm: Special Hay Festival Crazy Race
    7.00 pm to 9.00 pm: Village dance and traditional meal
    9.00 pm to midnight: DJ night

    Sunday 2 August
    in Venosc from 8.30 am to 9.30 am: Milking demonstration, farmer’s breakfast

    In the resort
    9.30 am: Open-air mass
    10.00 am to 6.00 pm: Hay Festival village with horse-drawn carriage rides, demonstrations, activities for all ages, farmers’ markets, educational farm, refreshment bar and food stalls
    11.00 am: Parade in period costume with a competition for the best costume
    12.00 pm: Aperitif
    3.00 pm: Competition for the best blueberry tart
