From the top of the Diable mixed-use lift, the Thuit route offers a lovely escape to higher ground, following a mostly downhill path that gradually takes you away from the busiest parts of the ski area.

The route begins in a rather rocky and open landscape, before skirting the lakes of Le Plan and Le Sautet. It is only once you have passed this section that the route really comes into its own: the landscape then opens up to reveal remarkable high-altitude panoramas, with sweeping views over the Romanche valley. It is only once you have passed this section that the route really comes into its own: the landscape then opens up to reveal remarkable high-altitude panoramas, with sweeping views over the Romanche valley. The atmosphere becomes wilder, amidst mountain pastures and wide open spaces, where it is not uncommon to spot marmots.
The route alternates between wide, rolling tracks and single-track sections, with a predominantly smooth and accessible descent. The technical difficulty remains moderate overall, with the exception of a few more technical downhill sections in the La Fée area, which will require vigilance and commitment.
The main difficulty of the route lies at the end, with the climb up the famous Voûte, a physically demanding and sustained section that concludes the route and makes this trail suitable only for riders prepared to make one final effort.
A challenging route that must be earned and reveals itself as you ride, ideal for riders seeking a contrast between developed trails and wilder terrain.
