Enduro MTB Itinerary – Cuculet

The most committed riders can try an alternative route via the freeride section of the qualifying run: a very steep and technical section through schist rock, which demands excellent riding skills and perfect control. This option allows you to reach the bottom of the valley quickly.
The rest of the route follows a more gradual but still demanding descent along a technical single track. The environment here is rugged and unspoilt, offering a total immersion in the high-altitude landscape.
Further down, the landscape changes: grass reappears at the Chalet du Berger, marking a transition to more open terrain. The route continues along the cliff face above the Pisse waterfall, before reaching the viewpoint, with the Grandes Rousses and the Romanche valley as a backdrop.
The rest of the route alternates between fast-flowing sections and more challenging passages, particularly in the slate areas, which can become slippery in wet weather.
⚠️ Warning: the route is shared with pedestrians. Controlling your speed and showing respect for other users are essential.
The descent ends in the village of Cuculet, before a generally flat road section leading to the Mont de Lans chairlift.
