  • The Mountain of Hell is a short but particularly challenging route, directly inspired by the atmosphere of the famous race.

  • You have to work for the access: from Jandri station (3,200 m), you need to take a 4x4 track and keep your wits about you so as not to miss the route’s entrance on the left.

From the very first few metres, the tone is set. The route plunges into a 100% rocky environment, typical of high altitude, where riding immediately becomes demanding. The trail winds its way through large slabs, unstable scree and technical sections, with frequent patches of snowfields*, which can sometimes persist throughout the season.
Navigation is an integral part of the experience: the route is subtle and does not give itself away easily. It is essential to follow the markings on the ground to avoid losing your way.
The descent then opens out onto a wide track, leading to Belle Étoile (the bike park’s red run). A welcome transition to more developed terrain, ideal for relaxing after the intensity of the previous section.
A short but extreme route, reserved for experienced riders seeking thrills and raw, unstable, challenging terrain in the high mountains.

*Névé: an area of hard snow that persists at high altitude in summer and can cover MTB trails.
